Only Two Persons Were Allegedly Abducted In Delta –Police

The Delta State Police Command has said that only two persons were allegedly abducted by gunmen in Ughelli Local Government Area of the state.

Commissioner of Police in the state, Adeyinka Adeleke, said contrary to speculations, only two persons was involved in the incident and not four as initially claimed.

Adeleke disclosed that the incident happened around 6:40 pm on Monday, adding that his men were making efforts to rescue the victims.

Information gathered revealed that the hoodlums numbering around 25 fled the scene after a gun duel with policemen numbering over 30 along the major highway.

Daily Post reports that some persons including the Personal Assistant to the Bishop of Flock of Christ Mission, Simeon Okah, were abducted at the same spot nearly two months ago but were later released after the payment of ransom.
