Kogi: SDP Candidate Vows Not To Leave INEC Headquarters Over Plans To Disqualify Her

Candidate of the Social Democratic Party in the Kogi State governorship election, Natasha Akpoti, has vowed to remain at the office of Independent National Electoral Commission in Abuja following plans to disqualify her from the contest.

SaharaReporters gathered that INEC had refused to accept the selection of Engr Adams Ogbeche Khalid, who the SDP decided to now be a running mate for Akpoti.

Some opposition candidates had accused the Kogi State governor, Yahaya Bello, of conniving with the INEC to edge them out of the race.

The governorship election in Kogi comes up on November 16, 2019.
