Molestation: Nigerians Are The Problem Of Nigeria Because We're Selfish, Iyabo Ojo Blasts Critics Over Baba Ijesha

She was reacting to the report that Baba Ijesha had been granted bail by the police on health grounds.

Popular Nollywood actor, Iyabo Ojo, has stated that she will continue to show support for the little girl allegedly molested by her colleague, Olanrewaju Omiyinka, aka Baba Ijesha until justice is served.

She was reacting to the report that Baba Ijesha had been granted bail by the police on health grounds.

The actress has been vocal since the issue was reported.

SaharaReporters had reported how Ojo had insisted that Baba Ijesha must be brought to justice for molesting a 14-year-girl, which was caught on camera.

The actress had come under fire as Nigerians questioned the rationale behind her agitations since she is not the biological mother of the victim.

She, however, seemed disappointed by the recent development in a video that had now gone viral.

She said, “I used to think the government was the problem of this particular country called Nigeria but I have come to understand that we are our own problem, not the government, the way we are wired, the way we reason, the way we think, it's always about us.

“Oh! she is not your child, why do you care? And this is the same problem we have in Nigeria so when someone like that gets to a place of power, the first thing he/she is going to say is, you are not my problem, let me just make all the money and take care of my own people because that is the way we are wired.

“We are the problem of Nigeria, the day we begin to take up issues that don't concern us and treat it like it is our own problem, Nigeria will begin to get better, we are our own problem. So, my brothers and sisters, mummies and daddies, uncles and aunties, I am that woman, that mother who will stand for that girl till the end, I am not backing down, justice will be served. Thank you.”
