Hanga said the APC is ‘technically non-existent' right now.
Senator Rufai Hanga, a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has dumped the ruling party.
Hanga said the APC is ‘technically non-existent' right now.
Hanga who was a pioneer national chairman of the defunct Congress for Progressive Change (CPC), however, told the Independent that he has yet to join another political party.
CPC is President Muhammadu Buhari's former party before it merged with the Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN), and others to form the APC.
Hanga said even though he worked to build the APC, he cannot watch the party collapse as a member.
“Yes, I decided to walk away from the APC even though I have not yet openly declared for any other party. But I have left the party and I’m watching them do their thing,” he said.
