Mr Gbade Adegoke, the elder brother to Timothy Oludare, a student of the Master in Business Administration (MBA) of Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife that died mysteriously after lodging at the Hilton Hotels and Resort has said the police have not informed the family about the report of the autopsy carried out on the deceased.
Gbade revealed this SaharaReporters on Thursday in reaction to the news that the autopsy report is out.
Some media reports say a copy of the autopsy report has been made available to the Osun State police command for proper record keeping.
The report was said to have been submitted on Wednesday after a medical team that conducted the autopsy had certified that the exercise was thoroughly carried out.
However, Gbade said the family was not aware the report was out and had no idea of its content.
He said, “I just heard it in the media too. I have not seen a copy of the autopsy report. The Police have not called me to brief me on the report. I’m waiting for their call.”
Speaking about what the next line of action will be, he said, “I can’t determine that until I see the autopsy report. It has to be a family decision. And then, police are still on top of the case.”
When the Osun State Police Command Public Relations Officer, Yemisi Opalola was contacted, she said since the case had been transferred to Abuja, she could not say anything about the report.
“I cannot say anything about that. You are aware the case is in Abuja, so call them in Abuja. The case is not with us again,” Opalola said.
