SaharaReporters gathered that the incident happened at Lagos Street in Maiduguri, the state capital.

The incident was said to have elicited laughter from some passersby.

A soldier shared the pictures with SaharaReporters, while expressing disappointment over the development, which had impaired the war in the North-East.

“See what we are facing in Borno. It’s only in Nigeria that you will see soldiers pushing APC. Imagine this happened when we were in gun battle with Boko Haram members,” he said.

In 2019, a video also went viral on the social media showing soldiers pushing an Armoured Personnel Carrier (APC), perhaps in an attempt to jumpstart the vehicle.
