I Can Never Work With Atiku, Tinubu, Peter Obi Because Of Their Past Abysmal Performances – AAC Presidential Candidate, Sowore
September 1, 2022

He said the PDP candidate, for an example, who was the Vice President for eight years, had no tangible achievements for his tenure in office.

The Presidential candidate of the African Action Congress Omoyele Sowore, has stated that he would not work with the presidential candidates of the All Progressives Congress, the Peoples Democratic Party and the Labour Party because the past abysmal performances of the flag bearers.

Sowore stated this in an interview with the African Leadership Group, and monitored by SaharaReporters on Thursday.

According to the AAC candidate, while reacting to a question during the interview, the likes of Bola Tinubu (APC), Atiku Abubakar (PDP), Peter Obi (LP) and Musa Kwankwaso (New Nigeria People’s Party) would not be part of his cabinet because of their shady past administrations.

He said the PDP candidate, for an example, who was the Vice President for eight years, had no tangible achievements for his tenure in office.

Sowore said, “I can’t see myself working with Tinubu in this life; never because I know his issues but we won't discuss them and I know that he has nothing to offer Nigerians. I can't work with Atiku because he was the Vice President for eight years; he did nothing; even the things that he could do constitutionally, he did not do them. I can’t work with Kwankwaso a former governor in a failed state.”

Speaking further, Sowore said he could not work with the LP candidate, Peter Obi, because he (Obi) had no legacy to show for his eight years in office as the governor of Anambra State.

He said, “Most people don't know that I have a relationship with Peter Obi; when he was the governor of Anambra, (former President Olusegun) Obasanjo sent the Mba Brothers to remove him twice; this same Obasanjo that's carrying him around now. I and one great writer, Ukedembe; we fought using our pens to save Peter Obi twice from the Mba brothers and all those elements to retain his position. We had no help; not even the judiciary was willing to help.

“When he finished his eight years in government, we accessed his performance, we saw nothing to show for it, no legacy projects, and this is the reason I ask people when they come to me, you can take the anger away but you're free to be angry; but tell me which school did Obi in eight years in Anambra build that he can send his children to?

“None; which hospital did he build in Anambra that if he has headache, he can go and check himself in? None, which road did he build? When you ask these questions, people get angry; Go and verify.”

Sowore added that he could not be in the company of any candidate supported by Obasanjo or former Head of State, Ibrahim Babangida, because he believed such candidate would continue to implement the destruction of Nigeria laid down by their mentors.

“So, what’s left? The last thing is that; where you cannot find me is in the company of a Babangida either directly or by proxy till I die. If Babangida is going south, I must go north, you can't find me in the company of former President Olusegun Obasanjo; anybody they support automatically means such person is coming to implement their agenda of further destruction of Nigeria.

"It was a personal issue because I was one of the young people who suffered, I was beaten, had stitches in my beard, they were still beating me in Abuja, following me with daggers some few months ago. How can I wake up and be part of those who are doing that?” Sowore said.

"in 2018, I went to Professor Wole Soyinka to endorse me, he said to me; let him think about it and when he came out he endorsed Kingsley Moghalu and I said a joke to him because we are close; that prof, You have endorsed somebody now, he said, yes, that's who I want to endorse so I said to him, since I know you; have you endorsed someone that won an election? He still laughs at it till today.”
