A video of a Nigerian soldier boasting about how he will kill 'Biafrans' in the Southeast and Boko Haram terrorists has attracted condemnations online.

The video which was seen by SaharaReporters on Thursday shows a Nigerian soldier assembling a new AK-47 rifle and bragging that ‘Biafrans’ and Boko Haram will see hell.

Some Southeasterners, including the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, Nnamdi Kanu and its members have been agitating for the separate Republic of Biafra.

Meanwhile, the soldier could be heard saying, "Biafra I swear, ... Biafra you go suffer, Boko Haram una go suffer, Biafrans una go suffer I swear ... This is clean kala (referring to the AK -47 he was assembling)."

However, the viral video has elicited angry reactions from Nigerian Twitter users, some of whom condemned the impunity and lawlessness of Nigerian soldiers.

They said the boastful soldier in the video confirmed the reports of extrajudicial killings being carried out in Southeast Nigeria by soldiers.

However, another Twitter user with the handle @okeketobiloba, said the soldier did nothing wrong as he could be referring to the gunmen terrorizing Southeast Nigeria. The Twitter user also noted that the soldier mentioned Boko Haram terrorists as well.

The tweet read: "You didn’t mention Boko haram in your post. Remember the unknown gun men that massacre our armed forces are usually linked as ipob sympathisers. The soldier is not out of place. Let’s be guided please."
