Some Nigerians at home and abroad have made donations in support of the presidential campaign of the African Action Congress (AAC) candidate, Omoyele Sowore ahead of the 2023 general election.

The donors announced this during Sowore Campaign Global Mega Fundraising which was held virtually on Sunday.

Many of the donors also pledged to mobilise their relations to vote for Sowore because after listening to his plans and manifesto, they realised he is on a mission to make Nigeria better.

A UK-based Nigerian man, identified as Folyjesus was the first donor with 100 pounds, and then N200,000 was donated by another man identified as Papzo.

Moyinoluwa, Oxley and Ikeche Anyawu donated N100,000 each. Chartered gave N20,000, Olubunmi donated N50,000, while Alex Adeniyi donated N10,000.

Durotimi Timis donated N25,000, Detoun gave N5,000 and Favour donated 50 Euros. Adeola and Solomon did not disclose the amounts of money of their donations.

SaharaReporters earlier reported that a Nigerian, Kingmax Robin, donated 1,000 dollars to the campaign of Omoyele Sowore.

This comes a few days after a young woman, Loretta Oladayo kick-started a N1 million donation challenge to support the AAC presidential campaign.

Oladayo had taken to her Twitter handle to announce the challenge while showing the receipt of her N1 million donation to Sowore’s campaign in a follow-up tweet.

She had written, “I’m donating N1 million into Omoyele Sowore’s presidential campaign; anyone wants to march this amount with me?”

“With Omoyele Sowore as president 2023 there will be no motherless home. Vote Omoyele Sowore for president. The only presidential candidate that is qualified to lead Nigeria Vote AAC.

“Patriotism for me is love for my country desperately want Nigeria to be a better place.

“Initially catching cruise turns action by donating 1 million Naira to Omoyele Sowore presidential campaign. Screenshot below. I'm still looking for 10 comrades to match this amount with me. We must salvage this country from the rotten system because #WeCantContinueLikeThis.”

“I'm investing in my future with Omoyele Sowore,” she had tweeted.
