Suspected terrorists who kidnapped three siblings and a motorcycle rider in Taraba State have said they killed their victims after collecting N60 million in ransom from the siblings' father.

It was gathered that the victims were kidnapped at a forest near Garin Dogo in Lau Local Government Area of the state on Sunday.

Three of the victims shared the same parents and were kidnapped at Garin Dogo by kidnappers demanding N100million in ransom, Daily Trust reports.

The three young men's father, Alhaji Musa, a cattle dealer, negotiated with the kidnappers.

The kidnappers reportedly agreed to an N60 million ransom for the release of the three siblings, and the motorcycle rider was hired to deliver the ransom to the abductors in a forest near the village.

However, after collecting the ransom, the kidnappers murdered the four of them. The victims were buried in the village on Monday, according to reports.

In a similar development, on Sunday, the army gunned down five suspected kidnappers in Maisamari town, Sardauna Local Government Area of the state.

The suspects, who were allegedly responsible for the majority of the kidnappings in the area, met their end while attempting to kidnap a cattle dealer in the area.

DSP Usman Abdullahi, the state police spokesman, confirmed the two incidents.
