IPOB also accused President Bola Tinubu-led government of funding and fuelling insecurity in the Southeast region through Dokubo.

The Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) has warned the ex-militant leader in the Niger Delta region of Nigeria, Asari Dokubo, to stay away from the South-East region of the country.

IPOB also accused President Bola Tinubu-led government of funding and fuelling insecurity in the Southeast region through Dokubo.

It added that it is unfortunate that political leaders are mute over the "formation of pro-government Islamic militia headed by Alhaji Asari Dokubo, who were among the groups causing mayhem that is sweeping across Igbo land."

SaharaReporters on Sunday reported how Asari Dokubo boldly announced that he and his gang of militants were working for President Tinubu of the ruling All Progressives Congress.

He warned that anybody who misbehaves or seeks Tinubu’s downfall will be smashed.

"Whatever the enemies are planning, they will fail. I am not a ghost. I just come Saudi Arabia (I just returned from Saudi Arabia). We are here. We work for President Ahmed Bola Tinubu and he will succeed. Anybody who is planning for him to fail, that person already failed.

"We are not competing with anybody. We have never competed with anybody. It is turn by turn. It is Jagaban turn, so, wait for your turn. If you do anyhow, you see anyhow," Dokubo said in a video obtained by SaharaReporters showing him addressing a parade of his militants.

IPOB, has however warned that it will confront Dokubo's militants if they encroach into the Southeast region.

In a statement issued by its Media and Publicity Secretary, Emma Powerful, IPOB on Wednesday said currently, the South-East is confronted by threats from the "new pro-government Islamic militia group formed and controlled by Asari but funded by Tinubu's government and APC party".

"Unfortunately, some prominent Igbo men and women are behaving as if they are not aware of the dangers ahead," it said.

IPOB further said, "The ongoing insecurity in our region is masterminded by the fifth columnists and their militias. Their agenda is; first to make peaceful Biafra agitation look violent before the international community.

"Secondly, to create an unsafe environment in order to discourage our people from bringing their investment home even as they are being victimized in Northern and Western Nigeria.

"The state-sponsored insecurity may not end soon. It may lead to something better imagined if we don’t stand up to confront these sponsored militia groups contracted to destabilize Alaigbo (Igbo Land).

"Asari Dokubo, the leader of this pro-government Islamic militia utterances so far, suggests that he has an evil agenda, which is being spoon-fed to him by powerful authorities against Ndigbo. Our people must wise up now and prepare ahead of that which is to come from the "creek toad" and his paymasters.

"The recent viral video where the pro-government Islamic militia led by Asari Dokubo was brandishing assault rifles did not attract any media or federal government uproar. That alone is a testament to the tacit support of the federal government of Nigeria.

"We in IPOB have nothing against anyone forming any militia to provide security as long as such a militia group does not target peaceful IPOB members and Biafra restoration agenda.

"They must know their limits like IPOB and ESN know theirs. We are keenly watching as their agenda unfolds, and we will not hesitate to confront any group contracted to destabilize our land.

"Where are the businessmen and women, Ohaneze Ndigbo, governors, politicians, compromised media houses, and one Nigerianists who condemned Mazi Nnamdi Kanu for forming ESN?

"Why are they quiet over this pro-government Islamic militia led by a well-known Igbo hater, Asari Dukubo? Ndigbo, both big and small, are the target of this militia group, particularly the Igbo leaders.

"If you fold your hands, you may fall victim to these murderous militias, and the government will use their compromised media to blame IPOB, ESN, or unknown gunmen as usual.

"As IPOB resisted the use of Fulani herdsmen for fulanization agenda by the previous Fulani Government, this current Islamic Government has contracted a Biafran trained Islamic jihadist, Asari Dukubo who has recruited criminals to continue the radical Islamic conquest agenda in disguise of combating insecurity. Igbo Land is a top priority for the Islamic regimens in Nigeria. All their agenda will fail because Chukwu Okike Abiama is with us.

"Nobody should blame IPOB and ESN for confronting Asari Dukubo's led Islamic militia should they go beyond their limit by encroaching into our land."
