Former First Lady, Patience Jonathan Visits Oluremi Tinubu At Aso Villa, Backs Tinubu Government

Dame Patience Jonathan, the wife of former President Goodluck Jonathan on Wednesday paid a courtesy visit to the current first lady, Oluremi Tinubu. 

This was disclosed by Busola Kukoyi, Special Assistant on Media to the First Lady of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Senator Oluremi Tinubu via her verified handle on X, formerly known as Twitter. 

Kukoyi added that Mrs Jonathan assured Oluremi Tinubu of her support and urged other Nigerian women to back the current administration of President Bola Tinubu. 

She wrote: “Former First Lady Her Excellency dame Patience Jonathan paid a courtesy visit to the First Lady of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Her Excellency Senator Oluremi Tinubu CON where the former First Lady described it as a solidarity visit to assure Senator Oluremi Tinubu of her support. She also assured Nigerian women that the First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu will carry all Nigerian women along and ensure a  time of Renewed Hope.” 

Mrs Patience Jonathan was a Nigerian civil servant who served as the First Lady of Nigeria from 2010 to 2015 and the second lady of Nigeria from 2007 to 2010. She also served as a Permanent Secretary in Bayelsa State.

One of the remarkable moments during Patience Jonathan’s time as the country’s first lady was when she broke down in tears on hearing the latest news about the abduction girls of the Government Girls Secondary School in Chibok.
