Nigerian Police Operatives Arrest Cult Kingpin, 18 Suspected Members In Ogun After Sagamu Killings

Odutola mentioned that the notorious cultist was well-known for his involvement in heinous attacks against rival cult groups in the state.

The Nigerian Police Force has confirmed the arrest of 19 suspected cult members in Ogun State.

This was announced by the state command’s public relations officer, SP Omolola Odutola who revealed that the arrest was made in connection with the recent clashes between two rival cult groups in Sagamu.

The police revealed further that the tactical operation, which occurred on Sunday, led to the arrest of one Ogunnibi Hammed, the kingpin of the Eiye Confraternity and other notorious cultists in the state.

Odutola mentioned that the notorious cultist was well-known for his involvement in heinous attacks against rival cult groups in the state.

The operation was the result of a collaborative effort by the Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT) squad, the Anti-Cultism Unit (AKU), and the Obalende Division of the police force, according to the PPRO.

It was claimed that the police acted on intercepted information, stating that the operation targeted the suspected cultists who had been causing terror in various areas of the state, including Odogbolu, Sagamu, Ijebu Ode, and Ilishan.
