Although SaharaReporters could ascertain the cause of the inferno, an X user, @rosheethat, who posted a video, called for help.
She posted, “Ire Akari Soka right now. Anybody that can help us.”
She, however, noted that before the arrival of the firefighters, the shops had been completely razed down.
"They (firefighters) are here now but nothing left again because everything has been burnt."

Meanwhile, efforts are ongoing by members of the community and fire service to prevent the spread of the fire.
