Nigerian Police Arrest Lecturer For Alleged Rape Of Female Student In Yobe

The lecturer, who is also a staff of the Al-Ma’arif, a private college of health sciences in Potiskum, where the victim is schooling was arrested on Wednesday, the Command's public relations officer DSP Abdulkarim Dungus, said.

 
 
The police in Yobe State have arrested one Adamu Gambo Hudu, a lecturer with the State General Hospital, Potiskum for allegedly raping a female student.
 
The lecturer, who is also a staff of the Al-Ma’arif, a private college of health sciences in Potiskum, where the victim is schooling was arrested on Wednesday, the Command's public relations officer DSP Abdulkarim Dungus, said.
 
Dungus said while speaking to reporters that further investigation into the alleged rape was still being carried out, adding that “the suspect is in our custody".
 
According to him, "He was arrested for alleged rape, molestation and breach of trust. Further investigation is ongoing.”
