Terrorists Release Video Of Abducted Road Construction Workers In Zamfara

The video which surfaced online on Tuesday showed at least seven abducted men who claimed they were kidnapped in Zamfara State at their place of work. 

 

 

A group of terrorists locally dubbed as bandits have released a video of some of its abductees, who are mostly employees of the Setraco construction business, which was working on a federal road project in the Nigerian northwest region. 

 

The video which surfaced online on Tuesday showed at least seven abducted men who claimed they were kidnapped in Zamfara State at their place of work. 

 

“My name nah Godfrey Adewole, we started this work from Kaduna Road, when we finished Kaduna Road, they transferred us to Taminaka, but money never ready. So Dey bring us to Zamfara here. I Dey work with Setraco Construction Company,” one of the victims spoke in Pidgin English in the video. 

 

“Just In: Armed bandits releases video of the hostages abducted in Tsafe LGA, Zamfara state, which occurred and resulted to the deaths of Military personnel and Commander of ZSCPG, most of the hostages are employees of Setraco construction company. A company handling the constructions of the federal highway,” Abdulbaqee, a journalist captioned the video on his X page. 

 

 

SaharaReporters on Tuesday reported the bandits relaunched another attack on Tsafe town, where they burnt two operational vehicles of the military and killed two members of the state security outfit, Community Protection Guards (CPG), in the area.

 

These construction workers were said to have been kidnapped together with others during the attack.
