Police Recover Body Of Allwell Orji From Lagos Lagoon

Officers found the body at around 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.

Marine police recovered the body of Dr. Allwell Orji from the Lagos Lagoon on Wednesday afternoon.

Officers found the body at around 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. 

The late doctor's family members and driver identified his body in the presence of the police.

Lagos State Police Commissioner Fatai Owoseni confirmed the development, adding that the body will be handed over to the family. 

Police officially declared the search for the body closed, while assuring family members that the investigation into Dr. Orji's death would continue.

In an alleged case of suicide, Dr. Orji jumped off the Third Mainland Bridge into the Lagos Lagoon on Sunday evening.
