According to the report, the statistics were collated from the feedback generated by 3,836 observers across the 774 local government areas (LGAs) in 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory.

This was made known by Mahmood Yakubu, INEC chairman during a press briefing in Abuja on Friday. According to the INEC chairman, the elections were postponed because the voting process was disrupted.

Atiku got 282 votes out of the 354 accredited voters. The unit has a total of 750 registered voters.

There have been allegations that a cabal in the Presidency does not want Tinubu to succeed Buhari.

The incident occurred around 10:00 am on Saturday, according to Vanguard.

Intersociety said despite promises that the election will commence by 8:30 am across the country, in Southeast Nigeria and Igbo communities in Delta, election materials arrived at some polling units at 2 pm, about six hours late.

At the polling unit, APC got 104 votes while PDP, whose presidential candidate is Atiku Abubakar, got 27 votes. 

A video shared by Nigerian famous singer, Folarin Falana, better known by his stage name Falz, on social media shows a very rowdy and chaotic situation at the polling unit following the delay caused by the late arrival of the election officials.

It was learnt that the polling units were attacked by gunmen who took away the machines.
